The Psychology program combines perspectives from both the social sciences and biological sciences in order to prepare students to understand human cognition, emotion, and behavior. Graduates will be prepared to continue their education in clinical or research programs, or to pursue careers in a variety of social service fields.
The mission of the Social Sciences Department is to provide undergraduates a sound academic
foundation in the social sciences within the framework of a Christian worldview.
Students who have graduated from LCC with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology are prepared to pursue graduate studies in the Social Sciences. Graduates may also pursue careers in a variety of health and human service-related fields. In addition, graduates are prepared for any career that requires a broad-based liberal arts education.
