Overview

To prepare a qualified, socially and
economically responsible, towards
practical activities oriented specialists of
dietetics, who are able to creatively and
responsively apply principles of nutrition
science in permanently changing national
and international environment.

I. Know wellness terms, meaning and
activities, understand importance of
requirements and apply them ensuring the
provision of safe and high quality
services.
II. Understand a complex relation among
humans, environment and food, and
precisely identify individual needs of
clients/patients;
III. Responsively carry out the
surveillance of client/patient nutrition and
effectively ensure appropriate food
supply.
IV. Effectively control quality of raw
materials and products, appropriately and
responsively choose technologies of food
preparation;
V. Prepare a health promotion program
based on research results and
professionally provide consultations of
dietary adjustments for individuals of
various needs.
VI. Critically analyze and evaluate
practical experience in professional
activities, permanently learn, train and
consult participants of healthcare teams.

Methods of assessment of learning

Subject learning outcomes are assessed
during examination, programme learning
outcomes are assessed during
qualification exam and defense of final
paper.

The scope of study field‘s subjects is 147
credits (including practices). Students are
studying study field‘s subjects: Anatomy
and Physiology, Environmental Health,
Ergonomics, Information Technologies,
Environmental and Human Safety, Food
Chemistry, Clinical Biochemistry and
Immunology, Fundamentals of Clinical
Subjects, Pharmacology, Emergency Aid,
Food Safety and Quality, Applied
Research Methodology, Public Health,
Food Preparation Technologies, Nutrition
Organization, Business Organization,
Dietetics, Curative Nutrition, Child‘s
Development and Health, Nutritional
Care, Health Promotion in the
Community and Wellness Resources.
Practices: Introductory Practice,
Supplying with Food Practice, Food and
Nutrition Evaluation Practice, Menu
Preparing Practice, Food and Nutritional Care Practice.

Specialists of dietetics will be able to
work in public healthcare institutions of
all levels, performing healthcare services
for individuals of different age, in health
care facilities of defence and internal
affairs system, in social care, welfare,
educational institutions, in private health
care institutions, and in public and private
institutions of public nutrition.
