M.A.Visualization of Baltic and Germanic Cultural Heritage

Overview

To train specialists of culture heritage visualisation who are able to scientifically analyse the baltic-germanic influence on the culture, who know how to visualise culture heritage research data, assess and administer material and non-material culture heritage. The graduates of the study program are able to reason and critically assess the issues of cultural heritage which appear in the geocultural and national identity context; they can integrate and manage complicated situations, take decisions in the absence of thorough information, evaluate alternative decision variants and their possible influence on the development of the region, historical heritage and landscape values. The program consists of 90 ECTS credits. Research work is carried out during spring term with the purpose to practically apply gained theoretical knowledge in cultural heritage and develop a model of heritage visualisation and dissemination. Research work has to show the theoretical and practical knowledge of a student in preparation of a Master’s degree thesis. Assessment of individual work of a student is a constituent part of the final grade. Individual work tasks, the system and time of their assessment are presented in course unit description cards. Mid-term assessment, individual tasks (essays, abstracts, tests) is separately graded. During the final exam the final mark is given.
