The core RGSL programme, International and European Law, covers the fundamental pillars of legal science and theory through specialised tracks that include:
Public International Law and Human Rights
European Union Law and Policy
Transborder Commercial Law
A 60 ECTS (40 Latvian credits), one year academic programme is available to individuals with bachelor or masters degree in law or related fields, if basic knowledge in law or corresponding work experience is acquired, obtained in at least four years long studies; second level professional higher education, professional bachelor or masters degree in law or other related fields, if basic knowledge in law or corresponding work experience is acquired.
Courses are offered from each of the three specialised tracks of the programme, comprising of Public International Law and Human Rights, Transborder Commercial Law and European Union Law and Policy. Students have to complete minimum of 8 substantive courses, as well as defend their master thesis if they have chosen the one year programme.
Alternatively, 13 substantive courses, an Internship and defence of a master thesis is required if students have chosen to follow a two year (professional) programme.
