Two-year, 80-credit (120 ECTS credits) programme for those who already completed a 120-credit (180 ECTS credits) bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, or economics.
You can pass Baltic Center examination and you will not need to submit any certificates.
Baltic Center examination – Экзамен Балтийского Центра
The two year academic master’s programme consists of 90 ECTS (60 Latvian credits) of theoretical study and 30 ECTS (20 Latvian credits) devoted to thesis writing. Following successful completion, students are awarded a Master’s degree (LL.M) in Law and Finance.
A 120 ECTS (80 Latvian credits), two year academic programme is available to individuals with bachelor or masters degree in law, economics, finance, management or related fields, obtained in at least three years long studies, bachelor or masters degree in law, economics, finance, management or related fields.
Students have to complete 7 mandatory courses and 1 optional course chosen either from the tracks of Transborder Commercial Law, Public International Law and Human Rights or European Union Law and Policy, and defend their master thesis at the end of the programme, if they have chosen the one year programme.
Alternatively students have to complete 20 substantive courses, in addition to the mandatory courses, and defend their master thesis at the end of the programme if students have chosen to follow a two year programme.
